Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you use this website, download a world, or commission one.
Last updated: 12 August 2026
The short version. Browse and fly around as much as you like. The worlds are released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 unless a world says otherwise, so use them in videos, on servers and in your own projects, but credit McMeddon and do not re-upload or resell the maps as they are.
The site is provided as is, and it is a fan project with no connection to Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
1. Scope
These terms apply to your use of this website and everything served from it: the world library, the 3D explorer, renders, maps and downloads. They apply wherever the site is served from, including any domain or subdomain it runs under. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please stop using it.
2. What this site is
This site is a catalogue and 3D viewer for custom Minecraft worlds built by McMeddon. There are no user accounts and nothing is published here by visitors.
3. Licence for the worlds
Unless a specific world states otherwise, the worlds are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Under that licence you may:
- use a world on a server, commercial or not,
- use it in videos, images, renders and other artwork, commercial or not,
- modify, remix and redistribute your own version of it, to friends or your community
- do all of the above without paying royalties.
Please do not:
- redistribute the original maps as they are,
- resell the original maps as they are,
- bundle worlds into modpacks (storage limits on the hosting side),
- present the work as your own, or drop the attribution.
Attribution means naming McMeddon as the creator of the world, with a link back where the format allows it. Where the items above go beyond what CC BY 4.0 strictly requires, treat them as a request from the author rather than a licence condition, except for attribution and for any world published under different terms.
4. Everything else on the site
The site itself, including its code, layout, logos, screenshots, rendered maps, trailers and written descriptions, remains the property of its respective authors and is not covered by the world licence. All rights reserved unless stated otherwise. Individual creations remain the copyright of their creators.
5. Downloads
World downloads are distributed through Patreon and other external platforms. Those platforms have their own terms, payment handling and refund rules, and your relationship there is with them. Supporting on Patreon buys access and supports the work: it does not transfer copyright or grant an exclusive licence.
6. Commissions
The prices, tiers and process shown on the commissions page are indicative. They are an invitation to get in touch, not a binding offer. A commission exists once scope, price and schedule are agreed in writing between you and McMeddon.
Unless your individual agreement says otherwise, the process described on that page applies, including its payment split, its revision allowance and its delivery scope. Which rights you receive in the finished world (and whether the work stays exclusive to you) is settled per commission, so raise it before work starts if exclusivity matters to you.
Any consumer right of withdrawal you may have under EU law is unaffected by this section.
7. Acceptable use
When using the site, please do not:
- bulk-download or scrape the map tiles and image library, or mirror it elsewhere,
- hammer the site with automated requests that degrade it for other visitors,
- attempt to reach non-public areas of the site or interfere with how it runs,
- use the content in a way that is unlawful, or that implies McMeddon endorses you.
8. Minecraft, Mojang and Microsoft
This is an unofficial fan project. It is not an official Minecraft product, and it is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. Content here is made in line with the Minecraft Usage Guidelines. You can buy the game at minecraft.net.
9. External links
We link to third-party sites such as YouTube, Patreon, Discord and PlanetMinecraft. We do not control them and take no responsibility for their content or their terms.
10. No warranty and liability
The site and the files offered through it are provided as is, without any warranty that they are available, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. World files are large and are meant to be opened in Minecraft: always keep a backup of any save you care about before loading or converting one.
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only where an essential contractual duty has been breached, and then only up to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Liability under mandatory consumer protection and product liability law is unaffected. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Reporting a problem
If you believe something here infringes your rights, or a world has been re-uploaded somewhere without attribution, get in touch through the Discord ticket channel with enough detail to identify the material, and we will look into it promptly.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the operator's place of establishment, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
13. Changes
These terms may be updated as the site grows. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
