Biome composition
Shares are measured across the built map. Past its edge the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so biomes missing from this list can still be found out there.
Land 100.0% of map
-
Plains 100.0%
Caves
What this world's caves are made of, by volume, measured from the save in 4 block cells.
- Normal Caves 99.8%
- Magma Caves 0.2%
- Ice Caves <0.1%
Inferred. These have no biome of their own in Minecraft, so they are named from the blocks around the cave rather than read from the save.

Questions about AssetWorld #1 2021
- What is AssetWorld #1 2021?
-
AssetWorld #1 2021 is a hand-made test world of 4,096 × 4,096 blocks, made with WorldPainter, World Machine, Gaea, Axiom and WorldEdit, built for Minecraft Java 1.17. You download the world folder and play it like any other save, in singleplayer or on your own server.
- How big is AssetWorld #1 2021?
-
4,096 × 4,096 blocks, so about 17 million blocks of surface. Walking from one edge to the other takes roughly 16 minutes at normal walking speed. The terrain runs from Y 0 to Y 255.
Outside that area the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so you never hit a wall, you just leave the built part behind.
- Which Minecraft version does AssetWorld #1 2021 need?
-
AssetWorld #1 2021 is built for Minecraft Java 1.17. Newer releases normally open it fine. Opening it in an older release is not supported: blocks and structures added after that version cannot load, and the world can be damaged by the attempt.
Bedrock players need a converted copy. See the Bedrock notes in the FAQ.
- Which biomes are in AssetWorld #1 2021?
-
1 in total. The land is mostly Plains (100.0%), counted as shares of the land rather than of the whole map.
By volume this world's caves are Normal Caves (99.8%), Magma Caves (0.2%) and Ice Caves (0.1%). The cave breakdown has the rest.
The full breakdown is further up this page, with every biome and its share.
- Which structures are in AssetWorld #1 2021?
-
5 of the 19 structure types the scan checks are confirmed present: surface (0/7), underground (4/6), ocean (0/4), portal structures (0/1) and settlements (1/1).
Not confirmed: Desert pyramids (not checked), Igloos (not checked), Jungle pyramids (not checked), Pillager outposts (not checked), Swamp huts (not checked) and Trail ruins (not checked). "Searched, not found" means the scan looked and came up empty; "not checked" means it has not been looked for yet.
The structure list above names every one of them.
- Is AssetWorld #1 2021 ready to play in survival?
-
Yes. A scan of the world file confirms loot tables, structures, animals and ores, so the survival loop runs from the first night: chests hold the game's real loot tables, mobs spawn as they do anywhere else, and you can mine, farm and build without adding anything. It plays in vanilla Minecraft, with no mods, no datapacks and no creative mode.
The world contents report at the bottom of this page holds the item-by-item detail.
- Can I look at AssetWorld #1 2021 before downloading it?
-
Yes. Open it in the 3D explorer and fly the real terrain in your browser, with the biomes, the caves and the marked structures. Nothing to install.
How do I install AssetWorld #1 2021 on Java Edition?
- Unpack the archive you downloaded.
- Open your saves folder. On Windows press
Win+Rand enter%appdata%\.minecraft\saves. On macOS it is~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves, on Linux~/.minecraft/saves. - Move the unpacked folder in. It must be the folder that contains
level.dat, not a folder wrapping it. - Restart Minecraft on 1.17 or newer and pick the world in singleplayer.
Can I play it on Bedrock, or on a server?
Bedrock needs a converted .mcworld copy, and converted worlds carry their own
quirks around spawn, chests and villagers.
For a server, drop the world folder in as the server's world and start it.
What may I do with it?
The worlds are released under CC BY-NC 4.0. The Rights panel on this page lists what that allows and how to credit it.
